Teraloop awarded Tekes funding
We have the great pleasure to announce today that Tekes, the Finnish Funding Agency for Technology and Innovation has awarded Teraloop with research and development project financing. This public support plays an essential role in driving us on toward our upcoming demonstrator, a key milestone in our path to the market.
“We are delighted that Tekes is supporting Teraloop in our new technology development. Public funding is an effective tool to leverage early stage investment and we will be able to accelerate our route to market thanks to the funding provided by Tekes. The rigorous testing of our business, as part of the process, is also a strong positive signal to future partners and investors that we have a compelling and investible offering.”
– Edward Ridgway Watt, CEO
This public support further confirms that Finland has both the ability and the will to deliver cutting edge energy storage technology. The idea behind Teraloop is an innovation which was invented by Oskari Heikkilä and Petri Saarinen in the Startup Sauna, a startup hub situated in Aalto, Helsinki.
The strong innovation ecosystem in Finland will enable us to continue the development of our technology using local resources and talent.
